The Houston Bears is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable and social organization based in Houston, Texas serving the greater Houston area.  Our membership transcends gender, race, age and ethnicity to include bears, cubs, otters, admirers and other allies to the Bear Community.

We strive to be a  positive and diverse force in our community, pursuing a mission based on the principles of Community Service, Fellowship, Fun and Lasting Friendships.

For the 2024 term, the Houston Bears has designated two charities to whom we’ve pledged our support, they are:

• Tony's Place
• The LGBT Council on Aging

We support these charities by hosting various types of fundraising events throughout the year including our monthly Bear Bust events, Jell-o shot Night and Bear Tubing.

The Houston Bears are proud to call the Eagle Houston our home bar.
